LNG receiving terminal project started in November 2018. At the end of July 2021, the tanks were put into operation conditions, and the construction cycle was about half a year shorter than that of the first and second phases of the project.
Comprehensive optimization of tank design and construction
In terms of tank structure, process, equipment, pipelines, etc., the project digests and absorbs the construction experience of the first and second phases to optimize. The design starts from optimizing the foundation treatment scheme, optimizing the design of support platform and dome reinforcement, reducing the height of the inner and outer tanks and reducing the amount of materials used, canceling anchoring belts and expansion joints, and adopting basement isolation technology; the construction adopts primary pile forming technology, tank air drying technology, domestic DOKA template application, etc.

In 2021, in view of the on-site construction control point multi-faceted wide, electric instrument construction involves the transformation of the original device, the construction of multiple pipelines and other key operation links, the personnel of various professional positions bravely shouldered heavy burdens and actively acted, solved problems one by one, overcome the risk of “operate while building”, and laid a solid foundation for the project to be completed and put into production on time.
Test drive and put into production to improve quality and efficiency
Faced with the problem that the BOG recycling situation caused by the pre-cooling of the tank test drive affects the test cost, the test team of Jiangsu LNG Company’s production and operation center made full use of the BOG generated by the cooling of the T-1205 tank to carry out the natural gas replacement of nitrogen in the T-1206 tank, and adjust it reasonably in combination with the actual production.
The cooling rate of the whole tank, and all the gases generated by the final tank cooling are recovered. This move not only solves the problem of limited processing capacity of the recondenser in the receiving station, but also realizes the recovery of all BOGS generated by the cooling of existing devices and new storage tanks, improving quality and efficiency by nearly 10 million yuan.
Improve the level of fine management throughout the process “LNG receiving terminal”
The project takes the implementation of the “100-day quality and safety management improvement activity” as the starting point, and carries out 8 special improvement activities such as welding quality control optimization, safety and civilized construction improvement, quality and safety common disease control, substation wiring standardization, pipeline cleaning construction improvement, etc.
