The 1st renewable energy “carbon neutral” smart park in China landed in Beijing

2021 is the first year of China’s “carbon neutral” journey, and the construction of domestic “carbon neutral” parks has also taken the first step. On the morning of January 28, China’s first renewable energy “carbon neutral” smart park certification ceremony was held in Yizhuang Smart Park of Xinjiang Jinfeng Technology Co., Ltd. The Beijing Green Exchange issued a carbon neutralization certificate to Jinfeng Technology Yizhuang Smart Park.

It is reported that the ecosystem of Jinfeng Technology Yizhuang Smart Park integrates renewable energy, intelligent micro-network, smart water, green agriculture and sports health. By deploying 4.8MW distributed wind power, 1.3MW distributed photovoltaic and intelligent micro-grids including liquid flow, lithium batteries, super capacitors and other forms of energy storage, the clean energy power will account for 50% in 2020. By purchasing China Certified Emission Reduction (CCER), offset the emissions in the park All greenhouse gases.

This carbon neutralization certification is a third-party certification agency authorized by the China National Accreditation Committee for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) to verify the greenhouse gas emissions of the park in accordance with ISO14064-1:2006 standard. According to the verification report, on the basis that spontaneous self-owned electricity consumption in the park in 2020 is not included in carbon verification, the total greenhouse gas emissions generated by all other production and operation activities related to greenhouse gas emissions amount to about 11,937 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent, and the whole park has achieved carbon neutrality.

In 2020, General Secretary Xi Jinping twice announced to the world at the United Nations General Assembly and the Climate Ambition Summit that China will increase its national independent contribution, strive to peak carbon dioxide emissions by 2030, and strive to achieve carbon neutrality by 2060; the 2020 Central Economic Work Conference will also Doing a good job in carbon peaking and carbon neutralization is one of the eight key tasks in 2021.

Judging from the emission reduction road map, China’s carbon emissions have only 30 years from peak to neutralization, that is, net zero emissions, which also means that the speed and intensity of China’s energy consumption and economic transformation and greenhouse gas emission reduction are much faster and larger than that of developed countries. It is expected that China’s annual carbon dioxide emission reduction will reach an average of 8% to 10% after 2030, far faster and intensity than developed countries.

According to Liu Li, director of Beijing Yizhuang Economic and Technological Development Zone, Yizhuang Economic and Technological Development Zone has always adhered to green development. So far, it has built a national ecological industry demonstration park, a national circular transformation demonstration park and a national green park. With the successful practice of the first “carbon neutral” park in China in Yizhuang, the Economic and Technological Development Zone will take this opportunity to drive more enterprises to implement the national strategy of carbon neutrality.

Jinfeng Technology Yizhuang Renewable Energy “Carbon Neutral” Smart Park is only the beginning. More “carbon neutral” parks are needed to achieve China’s carbon neutralization goal. Wu Gang, chairman of Jinfeng Technology, said that Jinfeng Technology will continue to give full play to its advantages in renewable energy development and intelligent micro-network construction, and help more parks increase the proportion of renewable energy with the help of China’s certified emission reduction (CCER) and other means, and achieve the ambitious goal of carbon neutralization as soon as possible.

Carbon neutral term is world aim also USA new President J. Biden showing that USA will back to Paris world climate plan which sure is the best way for Green Healthy Earth, world expect more cooperation from heavy CO2 generation countries to take actions and reduce global warming issues , will 2021 be the start ? what’s your opinion about this … sure you can make the difference.
