STEAG expert and LSG will build a+ 480 MW solar park in Greece

“Solar Park In Greece” SENS LSG is a joint venture (JV) between STEAG Solar Energy Solutions GmbH of German power group STEAG GmbH and LSG group in Austria.

STEAG said on wednesday that the initial part of the project consists of 9 clusters, divided into 22 sub-sgrammes, with a total capacity of 480 mw.

The German company will be responsible for the design and construction of the power plant, as well as its operation and maintenance (O&M). Construction work is expected to start in 2022.

German financial group green resources and core value capital will also participate.

Founded at the end of 2020, SENS LSG pointed out that the project benefits from favorable weather and political conditions, coupled with Greece intention to make greater use of its huge solar potential.

Solar Park In Greece

As the country is committed to reducing its dependence on fossil fuels, it has set a goal of increasing the fresh air and solar parks by about 10 GW by 2030 and achieving net zero emissions by 2050.
